Our Drinks
Specially Selected
All of our drinks are specially selected, we work with family run wine merchant Alexander Wines to carefully match our wines to our menu. They personally source from small independent wineries across the globe.
For real Ale fans our house ale is Warrior Queen 3.8% IPA produced less than 5 miles away in Kinross by Loch Leven Brewery. On rotation we also have Shining Knight from Loch Leven Brewery or Harviestoun Brewery's Bitter & Twisted or Innis & Gunn Ossian, all of which are produced within 20 miles of Balgedie Toll Tavern.
We have a fine selection of malt whisky, ranging from Balvenie from Speyside, Talisker from Skye and Laphroaig and Bunnahabhain from Islay.
On the gin shelf we have a range of London dry gins such as Gordons and Bombay Sapphire, and also a selection of distilled gins such as The Botanist, Brockmans and Hendricks. In keeping with our local philosophy we have Loch Leven Gin which is distilled and bottled locally in Kinross and Eden Mill which is distilled along the road in St Andrews.
Our fresh ground coffee comes from Unorthodox Roasters in Kinross - our choice of bean is their "Wee Stoater" which reflects the character of The Balgedie Toll. For those unfamiliar with this Scottish phrase it mean attractive or fabulous - "she is a wee stoater" which the Balgedie Toll Tavern is indeed!
Tea comes from "The Wee Tea Company" in Dunfermline, only 10 miles away, their Breakfast tea is specially blended and supplied in biodegradable tea bags.
